Parkway Life Real Estate Investment Trust ("Parkway Life REIT") was listed on the Main Board of the Singapore Stock Exchange on 23 August 2007. Parkway Life REIT's initial body of assets comprises Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Gleaneagles Hospital and East Shore Hospital (together, the "Hospitals") in Singapore. The combined appraised value of the Hospitals is approximately S$775m. Our mandate is to invest primarily in income-producing real estate and/or real estate-related assets in the Asia Pacific region that are used primarily for healthcare and/or healthcare-related purposes, including but not limited to hospitals, healthcare facilities and real estate assets used in connection with healthcare research, education and the manufacture or storage of drugs, medicine and other healthcare goods and devices.

Currently, Parkway Life REIT is the largest (by market capitalization) Real Estate Investment Trust ("REIT") with a healthcare theme in Asia.

Parkway Trust Management Limited's (in its capacity as Manager for Parkway Life REIT) key financial objective is to provide Unitholders with attractive total returns by, among other things:

  1. Acquiring healthcare dedicated investment properties that meet the Manager's investment criteria;
  2. Actively managing Parkway Life REIT's property portfolio to enhance the returns from the property portfolio; and
  3. Employing appropriate capital financing and hedging strategies to manage fluctuation risks in interest rates and foreign exchange risk.
